Center for Rheumatology & Neurological Testing
The capability of thoroughly evaluating patients in the broad field of Rheumatology. This includes the medical management of general musculoskeletal conditions causing joint pains, such as arthritis, bursitis, tendonitis and spinal conditions. The specific conditions evaluated and treated include Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and other Connective Tissue Disorders.
Diagnostic Digital X-Ray Imaging. X-ray evaluation of all the peripheral joints and the spine are available on site.
Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSKUS) for diagnostic purposes. MSKUS is a cost-effective safe modality, without radiation exposure, that is used for evaluating joint problems, such as joint pain, joint swelling, arthritis, bursitis, and tendonitis. The areas that can be evaluated include the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hand, knees, ankles, and feet. Diagnostic ultrasounds of joints are presently re-imbursed by Medicare and almost all third party insurance payers.
Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSKUS) for interventional procedures. Aspiration and injection of joints under ultrasound guidance has been proven to be a safer, less painful, and a more accurate technique than unguided procedures. Ultrasound results are available immediately, and therefore a problem requiring injection therapy can usually be treated during the same office visit.
